(Those of you looking for this week’s blog, please scroll down!)

These include (and remember to check whether it’s in English or Persian, unless you’re equally happy in both!)

2)    Thursday 27 January 2011, 7 – 9 p.m.; School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, Brunei Lecture Theatre, London WC1; focused on ‘Political Maps of Persia’; (in English); admission free

3)    Saturday 05 February 2011, 7 p.m.; Library for Iranian Studies, Acton, London W3; focused of ‘Maps of the Persian Gulf, Persian Shores and Islands’; (in Persian); admission £1; Tel: 020 8993 6384

4)    Monday  28 February 2011, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.; Royal Geographical Society (RGS), Education Centre, Kensington Gore, London SW7; focused on ‘First Official Map of Teheran’; (in English); admission for non-members £5, payable in advance; Tel: 020 7591 3044

I haven’t seen Cyrus’ new book yet, but his first – on General Maps of Persia – is superb! Find out more about the new book here.
